Nothing beats some old-fashioned, friendly competition to motivate staff at work, especially when it comes to your restaurant's loyalty program.
Wisely makes it easy to run these types of contests in order to drive customer signups night after night. Here's how to run and track a staff competition:
At the beginning of the meal, when waitstaff first engages the table:
“Hi, I’m Mike. Welcome to {Restaurant Name}. Do you have any questions about the menu or drink list?”
Once they reply, mention that the restaurant now has a preferred guest program.
“Ok, and just so you guys know, we recently launched a preferred guest program. If you signup today, I can offer you a complimentary snack. Are you interested?”
Guest says “Yes”
“Ok, great. Go to getwisely.com/app; once you sign up, I'll grab the complimentary sangria for you!
To track which server signs up the most guests, we recommend creating a button in your POS that represents the complimentary sign up bonus (it was a snack in the example above). After the designated competion time, management can run a report on the POS to see which staff member used the button the most. Based on this data, they can then announce a winner and runner up and award prizes accordingly.
These rewards could range from extra money on their paycheck, to an extra vacation day, a free meal or gift cards.
Simple, effective and fun for your staff to boot! Doesn't get much better than that.
